CAF Play-Off: Finidi Assures Of Enyimba’s Readiness Against Ittihad
Enyimba head coach, Finidi George, has assured that the People’s Elephant would be ready for Al Ittihad of Libya for the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs which comes up next month in Egypt.
George who assumed as the two-time African champions coach in September told Newsmen that they won’t be taking the Libyan opposition with child’s glove over the two legs.
“I think for them to have qualified, that means they’re a good team,” George, a former Super Eagles winger said.
“We will approach the match with all seriousness when the time comes. Nothing is easy when it comes to continental matches.”
Ittihad will host Enyimba on November 28th before the return leg in Aba a week later. The People’s Elephant have not failed to qualify for the group stage in their last two participation in the second-tier African club competition in 2018 and last season.
