20 Rivers Schools To Embrace Digital Teaching
About 20 schools in
Port Harcourt and environs are utilising Edumate to improve their learning, Edumate is a digitalized teaching device currently in use at the Nne Furo Kurobo Model Secondary School, Ebubu Eleme.
The proprietress of Dietums International Schools Port Harcourt, Mrs Catherine Osuoabo S. LongJohn told newsmen that the device will go along way to improve the standard of education in the state.
longJohn said that the situation is now a challenge to teachers and other stakeholders in the educational system to embrace Information Communication and Technology (ICT) as well as become computer Internet.
She also thanked the Rivers State Government for introducing the technology into the state through that Ambassador Nne Furo Kuro Model Secondary School and urged other state Government to emulate it.
Also speaking, the principal of the school, Mr. Fikabo John Itelima said that the system has improved the standard of the school as teaching has been simplified.
Itelima also said that the system will help the Nigerian educational system to catch up with its counter part across the world, by making Information Communication Technology (ICT) a necessary qualification for the employment of teachers.
Also, speaking with newsmen, the Head of Business and Marketing, Educomp Solution Limited, said that digitalized teaching Aide has several advantages to the Nigerian system especially with the effort being made by the government to improve educational standard.
