Enthusiast Hails Eguaveon’s Appointment To Lead Sharks
A football Enthusiast in Rivers State, Telema George ,has described the appointment of Austin Eguavoen as new coach of Sharks FC as a good development capable of changing the fortune of the club in the new soccer season.
George, who stated this recently in an interview with Tidesports commended the State Sports Commissioner Hon. Fred Igwe for his vision in going for a seasoned soccer coach to head Sharks FC’s technical crew.
According to him, Egvaveon is not only an accomplished ex-International with good reputation but has successfully handled many notable teams like Super Eagles, Under 23 national team and Enyimba of Aba. He believes that he would imparts his wealth of tactical and technical experience into Sharks FC when the new league season gets underway.
“Perhaps, I will only advise Eguavoen to remain focused and try as much as he could to recruit quality players that can withstand the heat of the Premier league and return the club to victory path” George said.
He continued that Sharks FC started well in the league last season, but, suddenly lost going of the game towards the end, and that, was what actually cost the club the continental ticket,” he recalled.
George therefore, called on devotees and fans of Sharks FC to continue to show strong faith in the team, believing that, the new soccer season will bring a big turn around for Sharks FC.
It would be recalled that Sharks FC finished on the sixth position at the last premier League Season.
