FCT FA Laments Poor Performance Of Teams
The Chairman of FCT Football Association, Alhaji Musa Talle, has decried the non-qualification of Abuja soccer teams for the elite league.
Talle told newsmen that it was disappointing that none of the Abuja-based teams in the National League was able to break into the top three.
He said that FC Abuja, Road Safety FC and NAF FC were not able to live up to expectation in the just-concluded National League season.
“We have done our best to advise them to hand over to other managers if the clubs are difficult to manage.
“At times the problem is from the government.
“Government bureaucracies usually lead to bottleneck in the release of funds and for us at the FA, there is little or nothing we can do’’ Talle said.
The FCT FA boss expressed regrets that the bureaucratic tendencies of most of the clubs had hampered the development of some of the local clubs in the country.
