RSG Urges School Proprietors To Seek Approval
Proprietors of Private Schools in the state have been charged to seek approval of the Rivers State Government before venturing into the business of establishing schools.
The Rivers State Commissioner for Education Mrs Alice Nemi gave the charge at the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) 4th annual/end of year dinner on Friday at Legacy Hall, Rumueme in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
According to her, in as much as government recognises and acknowledges the lofty contributions made by private schools toward human development and capacity building, it does not guarantee that legislations and regulations guiding the establishment of private schools should be disregarded.
