Organisation Lauds Fubara On Trans-Kalabari Road Project Execution
A community development organisation in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, ASALGA TEAM, has commended the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for making good his promise to execute the second phase of the Trans-Kalabari Road project.
In a statement issued by Alabo Aroloyeteim Brown and Hon. Alakeidiema Atiegoba, the organisation described the publication of invitation for tender on phase 2 of the Trans-Kalabari Road project spanning 7750 metres long with two bridges from Rumuolumini to Tombia Community, as a welcome development that will facilitate the socio-economic development of the three Kalabari local government areas.
The ASALGA TEAM recalled that Governor Fubara had promised during the signing of the 2024 appropriation bill to execute the most challenging aspect of the Trans-Kalabari Road project, describing the Governor as a seasoned administrator who is committed to the rapid transformation of the Kalabari Kingdom and the State in general.
It noted that the completion of the second phase of the road project will attract huge investments to the maritime and tourism sectors of the State economy and serve as catalyst for massive employment generation for the people.
The group pledged its support and commitment towards ensuring the success of Governor Fubara’s administration, and called on Kalabari people to rally round the Governor to ensure the successful completion of the project when finally awarded.
The statement also commended the Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Onegiyeofori George, for his developmental strides through sustained peace and security in the area and embarking on some people-oriented projects, including the Angulama Multipurpose Civic Centre, the Oporoama Primary Healthcare Centre, the Senior Staff Quarters, Ewelle Memorial Hall, Ido, amongst others.
