NUJ Condoles Amusa Over Father’s Death
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council has commiserated with a veteran journalist, Mr David T.J. Amusa on the death of his father.
Amusa was a former Port Harcourt correspondent of National Mirror and Daily Independent newspapers and now writes for Global Patriot newspaper, Lagos.
A statement issued in Port Harcourt and signed by the Secretary, Mr Ike Wigodo stated that the Rivers State Council was with him in this time of grief.
Late Pa Alao Jimoh Tijani Oyeniran was the father of the journalist and a retired staff sergeant in the Nigerian Army.
He died on September 1, 2018. He was the head of Abioye-Aremole family in Ogbomosho Local Government Area of Oyo State.
He is survived by his first son, Amusa and other three children.
The council sympathised with Amusa on the demise of his father, and prayed that God would give him the fortitude to bear the loss.
