NIS: Cleric Wants Minister, Controller-General Sacked
The General Overseer
of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has joined other eminent Nigerians across the country in calling for the sack of Minister for Interior Hon. Abba Moro and Controller General of Immigration Service, David Paradang over the death of Nigerians during a recruitment exercise.
It would be recalled that, about 19 people were reported death across the country during a recruitment exercise by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) last Saturday.
In an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt Apostle Chinyere said that the minister and the Controller General must toe the path of honour by immediately resigning their appointments.
According to him, the death of Nigerians in such controversial circumstances shows that someone has refused to do the right thing, noting that the two officers must either resign or be sacked by president Goodluck Jonathan.
The cleric who regretted the incident, also urged those in positions of authority to always place the interest of Nigerians above personal interest, stressing that something must be done to ensure that the incident does not repeat again.
He used the occasion to condole the families of the deceased and prayed God to grant the souls of the deceased eternal rest.
