Ikuru Urges Christians To Support God’s Work
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Engr. Tele Ikuru, has charged Christians not to relent in giving to support God’s work as it paves way for enormous blessings.
Engr. Ikuru gave this charge during the dedication of the church cathedral/inauguration of the newly built auditorium of the Footmarks of Christ Ministries Worldwide Incorporated (aka City of Fire and Miracles) in Port Harcourt.
The deputy governor stated that “no man has ever done something for God and gone empty handed. As true diplomats of Christ, it is necessary that you sow your material riches, no matter how small, into God’s work so that you can qualify for His showers of blessings,” pointing out that “when God starts a thing, He follows it up to completion and perfection”.
Congratulating the church leadership and members for the success of the project inspite of numerous challenges, Engr. Ikuru stressed the need for the church to take evangelism seriously, explaining that God’s blessing are for those who work to expand His kingdom on earth.
In his sermon, Bishop Dan Onuoha, cited the example of the temple in Israel that was dedicated in 2 Chronicle 7:11-12, noting that the cathedral having been dedicated has now become a place of safety and fellowship for believers.
Earlier, the General Overseer of the church, Reverend Goddy Oti, thanked the deputy governor for his dedication to the advancement of God’s work and support for the church project, are commended the board of trustees, clergy, members and friends of the ministry for their dogged faith, prayer, sacrifice and financial commitment that saw to the successful completion of the church auditorium.
