Cleric Extols Virtues Of Late Prophetess
The Chairman of Opobo District of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim, Snr Apostle Joseph Jaja has described late Prohetess Esther K. Soonwaa as a woman who devoted all her life to the service of God and humanity.
Speaking last Sunday at the one-year memorial thanksgiving service held at Kono in honour of prophetess Soonwaa, the cleric said the late prophetess was a “virtuous woman” whose exemplary life style should be emulated by all and sundry.
In a sermon tagged, “the memory of the just”, Senior Apostle E. T. Toby also extolled the good qualities of late prophetess Soonwaa who made food available for every one that was hungry, and noted that it was not a mere coincidence but of great spiritual significance that her transition occurred on the memorial thanksgiving of Saint Moses Orimolade, founder of Cherubim and Seraphim.
It was joyous when the preacher called for those who will like to be like the late prophetess and the whole congregation was united in their desire to emulate the life style of the late prophetess.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Prince Jerry Mene thanked God for giving them a good mother who gave the family and church an unprecedented care. He also thanked God for accepting the soul of their late mother after her service here on earth, as well as protecting the whole family and the church for another one year.
The ceremony which was attended by all the surviving children and grandchildren of late prophetess Soonwaa, featured singsongs, parade round Kono town and the commissioning of a five bedroom bungalow in her honour. Among dignitaries at the occasion were chairman of Opobo District of the church, Senior Apostle Joseph Jaja and a Governing Council Member of Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, Evangelist Hanachor O. Hanachor.
It would be recalled that late Prophetess Soonwaa died on October 26, 2008 and was buried on December 20, 2008 at Kono Town.
