RSPHCMB Scribe Leads Zero Polio Immunization In Rivers … Urges Parents, Others To Participate
The Executive Secretary of Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB), Dr Kinikanwo Innocent Green, is currently leading the charge in the “Keep Polio at Zero Campaign” across Rivers State.
Dr. Green, who has been actively engaging with the House-to-House, and Fixed Post Teams since the exercise started last Saturday, to ensure effective implementation of the vaccination drive, said he “understands the significance of reaching every household and is personally involved in coordinating efforts to ensure no one is left behind”.

According to him, he visited the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area and Obio/Akpor Local Government Area to oversee the vaccination process.
During these visits, he stated, he interacted with parents, emphasizing the importance of allowing children to receive the polio vaccine.
He assured them that “the vaccine is safe and can protect your children from this preventable disease”.
In his efforts to address any challenges faced by the teams on ground, the Executive Secretary visited the Rivers State Primary Health Care Centre at Churchill, where he interacted with the various teams involved in the campaign and addressed their concerns.
Describing his approach, Dr. Green said it is “proactive and highlights my commitment to ensuring the success of the Keep Polio at Zero Campaign”.

Also involved in the visits were the Director of Community Health at the RSPHCMB, Dr. Joy Wihioka, alongside other community leaders.
The tide reports that their presence further demonstrated the collaborative effort being made to protect the health and wellbeing of the people of Rivers State.
The RSPHCMB Scribe explained that the efforts so far made in executing the immunization exercise aims to maintain a polio-free state and secure a healthier future for the children of Rivers State.

Highpoint of the supervision was when Dr. Green visited the Palace of the Paramount Ruler and Nyewe-Eli Apara Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Eze Chike Worlu-Wodo, at his palace in Rumuigbo.
