Stakeholders Pass Vote Of Confidence On LG Boss
Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Okrika Local Government Area have passed a vote of confidence on the Chairman of Okrika Local Government Council, Hon. Akuro Tobin, for what they called his developmental strides in two years of his administration.
Speaking on behalf of the leaders of the Local Government during an inspection of projects embarked upon by the Okrika Council boss, a former Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sampson Parker, said they are impressed with the level of developmental projects which has littered the entire LGA, and the massive transformation of the council secretariat by the Chairman.
Also speaking, a former member of the National Assembly, Dr. Bright Gogo Tamuno, lauded the Okrika Council boss for “leaving above board, and setting the pace for an excellent developmental trajectory in the LGA”.
Lending her voice further, a former Commissioner for Information and one time Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dame Ibim Semenitari, praised the Okrika LGA Chairman for his foresight and visionary leadership, which she said had given him this commendation.
The Okrika LGA Stakeholders, however, urged the Council boss not to be distracted, promising to collaborate further with him for the development of the Local Government Area.
Other leaders who spoke at the stakeholders meeting include the Deputy Leader at the State Assembly, Amaopuerembo, Hon. Linda Somiari-Stewart, former Council Chairman, Hon. Godwin Tamuno, and Prof. Atuboyedia Obianime.
