Opobo Students Endorse Fubara For Governor In 2023

The leadership and members of the National Union of Opobo Students (NUOS), have endorsed, and pledged total support for the Governorship bid of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Siminialayi Fubara, in the 2023 elections in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the union, the National President, Comrade Christopher John Stewart, said that it was divine for an Opoboson to be considered the second time by Rivers people to produce the next governor of Rivers State in 2023.
He maintained that the National Union of Opobo Students would do all within her powers tomobilise, support, and also vote overwhelmingly for Fubara on March 11, 2023.
Stewart further expressed appreciation to Fubara for his uncommon love, care, and support to the student body.
He prayed to God to grant him landslide victory through the people’s votes as the next governor of Rivers State in 2023.
In her response, representative of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Mrs.Sotonye Toby Fulton, thanked members and the entire executive of NUOS for assuring and pledging their unalloyed support for the candidacy of Fubara as the next governor of Rivers State.
Fulton encouraged the union to match words with action by standing firm in full support by simply collecting their permanent voter’s cards (PVCs) and casting their votes for Fubara on Election Day.
To this end, Fulton admonished members of the student body to always present themselves as worthy ambassadors of Rivers State and Nigeria in general.
The meeting preceded the union’s December national convention, which began on December 28, 2022.
