Oyigbo PDP Receives 10,000 Defectors
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyigbo Chapter, says it has received over 10,000 defectors to its fold.
This position was made by the party’s Chairman in Oyigbo, Hon Alex Ibeawuchi recently during the official flag-off of Oyigbo PDP Campaign Council at Afam.
Hon Alex said more will be harvested into PDP in Oyigbo soon
The Oyigbo PDP boss noted that the introduction of stomach infrastructure by Governor Nyesom Wike will give Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Fubara and other PDP candidates victory.
He admitted that the Governor’s current empowerment going on across the State will strengthen the chances of the party in the forthcoming election.
The former Oyigbo CTC Chairman said Oyigbo PDP does not believe in rigging as it believes in one man, one vote.
According to him, this has necessitated the inauguration of 217 unit officers across the 217 polling units in Oyigbo.
“This is because Oyigbo PDP’s strength is at the unit level. Also, the infrastructural development of Governor Wike at Oyigbo remains a plus.
The rehabilitation of Oyigbo/ Afam road, Oyigbo Junction to Ogbunku, Umusiaya / Eleme, Mbano/ Iriebe, Cassava processing plant and the ongoing Oyigbo / Afam road, with drainages are testimonies of Governor Wike in Oyigbo.
“We promise to reciprocate at the polling unit during elections. Also know that the election of Amb. Desmond Akawor as the party State Chairman will strengthen our performance. We shall support him to deliver PDP come 2023,” he said.
He advised youths to eschew violence as nothing could be achieved through violence.
Hon. Alex also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the introduction of BVAS, saying it will end ballot box snatching and on security agencies to play according to the rules of engagement.
