$250,000 Orld’s Best School Prizes Open
The World’s Best School Prizes, founded by T4 Education is now open to Nigerian schools.
A statement by the organisation said the prize was in collaboration with the world’s most prestigious education prizes including Accenture, American Express, Yayasan Hasanah, Templeton World Charity Foundation, and the Lemann Foundation.
It revealed that there were five prizes schools could apply for, namely The World’s Best School Prize for Community Collaboration, The World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action, The World’s Best School Prize for Innovation, The World’s Best School Prize for Overcoming Adversity, and The World’s Best School Prize for Supporting Healthy Lives.
Founder of T4 Education and the World’s Best School Prizes, Vikas Pota, said governments must ensure quality education is a right, not a luxury.

Education Commissioner Seeks media collaboration in Rivers
The River State Commissioner for Education, Dr Peters Nwagor has called on media practitioners in Rivers State to deploy their various communication platforms toward promoting government programmes and policies aimed at achieving sustainable development in the education sector. Dr. Nwagor made the appeal when members of the Etche Ethnic Practicing Journalists (EEPJ) paid him a courtesy visit in Office in Port Harcourt. The Commissioner emphasized the strategic role of the media in shaping public perception, promoting government initiatives, and supporting policies capable of improving the quality of education and human capital development in the state.
