Schools Resume In Rivers, Monday
Schools in Rivers State will resume academic activities on Monday, September 12, 2022.
Making the declaration in his office to newsmen, midweek, the Commissioner for Education, Prof Prince Chinedu Mmom, urged all Heads of Public and Private, Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools in the State to resume the First Term of 2022/2023 Academic Session on Monday.
He said it was expected that all Schools operating in the State “comply with the schools’ resumption date, in accordance with the 2022/2023 academic calendar as approved by the Rivers State Government, in order to achieve a smooth academic year and best delivery of quality education in the State”.
The Commissioner used the opportunity to welcome back all the Students, Principals, Head Teachers, and Non-academic Staff of Schools.
Mmom urged them to “play by the rules by ensuring that you adhere to all healthy and safety protocols in learning and character”.
While praying for God’s peace and security over all schools in the state, the State Education boss advised the students to take their academic studies seriously, adding that “it is the only way to greatness.”
