NDBDA Chairman Tasks Engineers On Quality Services
The Managing Director of Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), Engr. Mark Derefaka, has advised engineers in the country to be dedicated to their jobs and deliver quality services always.
He stated that for a society to have quality and rapid infrastructural development, it relies greatly on its engineers.
Derefaka made the assertion, weekend, while speaking as the Chairman of the just-concluded Wakirike Infrastructure Deveploment Plan Second Series and the inauguration of a new Executive of Wakirike Engineers Association (WEA) programme held in Ogu, the headquarters of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
According to him, the sole objective of the programme is to attract more deveploment to the various communities of Wakirike Kingdom.
He used the opportunity to thank the Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, who’s magnanimity, he said, ensured the successful organisation of the programme.
“This Wakirike Infrastructural Development Plan 2nd Series was sponsored by the Executive Chairman of Ogu/ Bolo Local Government Area, Hon Vincent Niemebika. We commend him for the sponsorship.
“The association comprises engineers from Okrika, Ogu/ Bolo and some parts of Port Harcourt City.
“Our focus is to bring Wakirike engineers together at the forefront for better infrastructural development at our rural areas”, he said.
The Managing Director noted that the whole wealth of the nation revolves around the Riverine where oil is deposited and there are more resources yet to be tapped.
