Council Boss Hails Wike On Obuama Community School
The Chairman of Degema Local Government Council, Hon. Michael John Williams, has lauded the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike over the construction of the Obuama Community Secondary School, describing it as top-notch.
Williams, who stated this on Tuesday during the project inspection ahead of the commissioning, noted that the iconic structure with its state-of-the-art facilities stood out as the best secondary school constructed by Governor Wike-led administration in the State.
The council boss stated that the people of Degema Local Government Area were happy to have a governor who has continued to carry the Kalabari Ethnic Nationality along in the scheme of things, since the inception of his administration.
He noted that the Obuama Secondary School was one of the model high schools built with a touch of class in communities in Degema, such as Bakana and Tombia.
This, he said, is in addition to other “outstanding projects scattered across Kalabari land”.
Assuring that the people of Kalabari will stand firm and show gratitude to the governor when the time comes, Williams expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of job done by the contractors handling the project, urging them to expedite action in putting finishing touches.
The council chairman was accompanied on the inspection by principal officers of the council, including the Secretary of the council, Hon. Nicholas Harry.
