The triennial delegates conference of the Rivers State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has again been postponed to today, Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
The cancellation which occurred midway into the congress followed the discovery of some errors in the ballot papers used for the election.
State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, who intervened in the situation, called on journalists in the state to come out for the election on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
Earlier, the Commissioner had described the NUJ as a big family, urging journalists to participate actively in the election to vote in an executive that will give journalists a voice in the state.
