Journalism Educators Foundation Holds Confab At UNIPORT
The Journalism Educators Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies, University of Port Harcourt, holds its biennial conference with theme, ‘Communication, Language and Coping With Covid-19 in the 21st Century.’
The conference which is scheduled to hold from Tuesday, November 2, 2021 to Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Ebitimi Banigo Auditorium, University of Port Harcourt, will also commemorate the retirement from the university system of Professor Shirley Yul-Ifode and other retired lecturers of the department.
The keynote speaker for the conference is Head, Department of Communication Arts, University of Uyo, Prof. Peter Esuh.
The conference will also have in attendance Professor Alice Nte, College of Health, University of Port Harcourt; Professor Walter Ihejirika, interim Dean, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, University of Port Harcourt, and Professor Umaru Pate, Vice Chancellor, Keshere University, Gombe State as lead paper presenters.
The Chief Host is Vice Chancellor, University of Port Harcourt, Professor Owunari Georgewill. The host is Acting Dean, Faculty of Humanities, University of Port Harcourt, Professor John Yeseibo, while the Convener of the conference is Head, Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies, University of Port Harcourt, Professor Aniefiok Udoudo.
The Father of the Day is Vice Chanchellor, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Prof. Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele.
