Organisation Launches Non-Banking Institution In Nigeria
Sopra Banking Software (SBS), a global leader in financial technological-based organisation, yesterday launched its TAJ Bank Limited, as a non-interest banking institution, in Abuja.
The founder of TAJ Bank, Mr Hamid Joda, who made this known in an interview with newsmen in Abuja, expressed appreciation to SBS for its contribution towards the realisation of the banking goal.
Joda said: “SBS has demonstrated its commitment to make our ambition a reality; TAj Bank aims to be number one in non-interest banking market in Africa.
“SBS is delighted to support TAJ Bank in its opening, and we are proud to have earned their trust during this tight deadline project.
“This project has enabled us to demonstrate that our software services and banking capabilities are truly the solution of choice for banks in Nigeria, looking at operations in a fast-changing banking environment, and facilitating financial inclusion”.
In a separate interview, Mr Dennis Omoroseghe, Director of SBS Consulting Limited, said that its Information Technology modernisation and legacy system replacement, remained a priority for most Nigerian banks.
He also said that the organisation would bridge the widening gap between front-office and back-office operations and services.
According to him, TAJ Bank is determined to avoid this challenge soon and had successfully implemented Sopra Banking Amplitude, as its mission critical application.
“SBS is the choice partner of over 1,500 financial institutions worldwide.
“The rich variety of our solutions, the strength of our conviction and our passion for innovation, have enabled us to support our clients daily, and their future projects regarding financial inclusion.
“Our customers, based in over 80 countries around the world, benefit every day from our technologies and software, as well as the expertise of our 5,000 employees,” he said.
