Monarch Commends Wike Over Contract Award
The traditional ruler of Omerelu Community, Eze Ben O. Ugo, has commended the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike over award of contract for construction of its internal roads.
Eze Ugo who is the Ehumoha VIII of Omerelu, made the commendation when he spoke with newsmen at his palace in Omerelu, Ikwerre Local Government Area.
The Nye nwe ala Omerelu Clan, noted that the contract award would improve the economic standard of the people upon completion.
“The entire people of Omerelu clan woke up on the morning of Thursday, 6th May, 2021 to hear the first of its kind news in their history that Omerelu has joined the rest of other clans in Rivers State to enjoy internal roads construction and expansion”, he said.
The Monarch who was visibly joyous, said that his community had now joined the league of towns and villages in the state blessed with various forms of development by Governor Nyesom Wike.
According to him, his people would be forever grateful to the State Government and hinted that past administrations never thought in that direction.
“This gesture has added another feather to the numerous developmental strides he has extended to Omerelu Clan.The people of Omerelu are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for this show of true love”, he said.
Eze Ugo also urged Wike and ensure that peace reigned in all parts of the state especially at this critical period of gun attacks across the country.
