School Seeks Partnership On Co-Curricular Policies
As part of efforts to ensure sound and quality education for students, the Federal Government College, Ikot-Ekpene (FGC-IK), has stressed the need for the collaboration of all stakeholders in the formation of Co-curricular policies of the college.
The Director Principal, Mr J. N. Ezeogu, made the call in a newsletter issued to parents and guardians at the end of the 2020/2021 first term academic session, Friday.
Ezeogu said the management of the college had not relented in her efforts to focus on formulating, executing and supervising academic and Co-curricular Policies of the college stating however that it would require the collective efforts of every stakeholder to achieve the overall desired result.
Ezeogu disclosed that in that regard, the alumni association of the college had always been of concern and support to the college revealing that the 1985 class/set had donated and installed 10 computer sets to equip the e-library and boost the students e-learning.
In his words”the school management has not relented in her efforts to focus on formulating, executing and supervising academic and Co-curricular Policies of the college. This is to ensure that sound and quality education is given to our students. It is very important to bring to your notice that the alumni association has given us full support in this quest. This term, the class of1985 donated and installed 10 new sets of computers to equip our e-library. We really commend their efforts.”
The principal said the college employed the tools of clinical teaching, morning showers, extra lessons, night preps and ‘sit-down and Read’ to equip the students with adequate knowledge both in theory and practical.
On discipline, Ezeogu said “the war against indiscipline in the college continues. We shall not tolerate any act of indiscipline from the students and so, parents and guardians should complement the efforts of the college” for a disciplined and crime-free learning environment.
