Omokaro Urges S’ Eagles Players To Emulate Past Heroes
Former Super Eagles player, Bright Omokaro, alias 10/10 has urged players of the current senior national team of Nigeria to learn from their past heroes the dedication and competitiveness of former players of the Nigeria senior national team in their approach to the game so as to also earn their place with posterity.
Speaking in a chat with Tidesports source, Omokaro stressed that the level of competition these days is not as strong as what was obtainable in the past where players were ready to give their all to seal spots in the national team of Nigeria.
“At that time it was a tug of war when John Chidozie came Fashanu came, they found it difficult to pick a shirt. It was only late Okwaraji who came in that was very strong from Germany then that was able to fit into the team. There should be a competition, so they should put in everything to make sure they write their name in gold. Today, you’re interviewing me, I have left football years back but because of the impact I had then that’s why you’re calling me, they should learn from us.”
