Wike Committed To Peace, Rule Of Law -Banigo
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has reiterated Governor Wike’s commitment to peaceful co-existence amongst communities in the State and the Rule of Law.
Dr. Banigo stated this while receiving the Technical Committee Report on Wakama and Kporghor Communities Boundary Dispute, at the Government House in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
The Deputy Governor, who is also the Chairman of the Rivers State Boundary Commission urged members of both communities to maintain the peace and live harmoniously.
“Let there be no rancour whatsoever, so that your communities will attract development projects from the State Government”, the Deputy Governor stressed.
According to Dr. Banigo, the Report of the Technical Committee would be presented to the Rivers State Executive Council, for approval and gazetting, noting that the State Chief Executive, would continue to replicate top-notch developmental projects across the length and breadth of the State.
Recall that the Technical Committee on Wakama Community in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area and Kporghor Community in Tai Local Government Area was inaugurated on the 12th of March, 2020, under the Chairmanship of Deputy Controller of Immigrations (DCI), Charles Epum.
