Army Chief Applauds A’Ibom’s Development Strides
The Nigerian Army has commended the development strides of the Udom Emmanuel’s administration in Akwa Ibom State.
The commendation was contained in a letter of appreciation signed by Brigadier General H.E Nzan on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, appreciating the achievements of the administration as documented in the current edition of Akwa Ibom Impact Magazine.
The letter read in part: “The magazine is a good read, the works of the administration towards self-sufficiency of Akwa Ibom is a laudable step towards the most desirable national development.”
This commendation comes on the heels of others, by notable national and international figures.
Recall that former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, recently commended Governor Emmanuel for constructing the 21-storey Dakkada Tower, describing it as the most technologically advanced building in Nigeria.
In another development, eighteen police officers have been promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police in Akwa Ibom State.
The promotion exercise was conducted by the Police Service Commission, Abuja.
At the decoration of the officers the Akwa Ibom State Police Commissioner, Amiengheme Andrew charged the beneficiaries of the excercise to consider their promotions as a call to higher responsibilities.
Besides, the Commissioner advised the officers to be focused and rededicate themselves to duty, as according to him, the promotion was in line with the IGP’s resolve to motivate officers to be diligent and add value to the force to justify the confidence reposed in them.
He said, “your elevation should be seen as yet another challenge to put in your best in the service and make Nigerian Police and the nation proud. “You have to see this not as an end to your achievements, but step further in your call to serve the nation and humanity.”
