Soku Oilfield: TROMPCON Lauds Wike On Victory At S’Court

The Traditional Rulers of Oil Minerals Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON), Rivers State Chapter has lauded the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, over the Supreme Court victory on the Soku oil field.
The Chairman of TROMPCON in the state, Dr Samuel Amaechi, who gave the kudos while speaking with The Tide in Port Harcourt, yesterday, expressed joy that Rivers State has won the litigation at last.
Amaechi, who is also the Onye Ishi Agwuru Igboh Kingdom in Etche Local Government Area, thanked Wike for leading the state to another landmark victory.
The TROMPCON boss noted that Wike has always taken the state from one victory to another since he assumed duties as the governor of the state.
“We, members of TROMPCON, Rivers State chapter are excited by the feat. We say ‘Thank You Gov Wike’ for this Supreme Court victory.
“It has given more credence to the promise you made to Rivers people that oil wells belonging to the state but in the hands of other states would be fully recovered. We are proud of you”, he noted.
Amaechi further stated that Soku community has remained part of Rivers State, and wondered why oil wells in the community would be denied the state.
TROMPCON also commended the Supreme Court for upholding fairness and justice, stressing that the verdict was a clear proof that the Judiciary remains the last hope of the common man.
