Abia Warriors’ Player Predicts Tough Season
Abia Warriors and Super Eagles player Austin Obaroakpo has stated that the competition for places in Abia Warriors next season will be very high on the strength of the club’s transfer activities and expects players to up their game to keep their positions in the team.
Speaking in a chat with Tidesports source on what the signings made by the club meant for the team, Obaroakpo said players will now have to be at their best admitting that the expectation on the club will equally be higher now and there is real pressure to perform with new signings and a new coach at the helms ahead of next season.
“Definitely it’s going to improve the players because you know that there is competition everywhere I believe that will improve the players not that people will lose their shirt. If you’re giving 80 percent you need to give 100percent now because there is competition everywhere.
“The expectation is high and I believe that those that are coming will know that they are not just coming for coming sake, I believe they are going to help the team achieve our aim this season.”
