Group Lauds VC On Varsity’s Dev
A social cultural organisation known as Ikwerre Development Association (IDA), has expressed satisfaction with the pace of development recorded at the Rivers State University under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Blessing Didia.
The President of the association, Oliver Wolugbum made the assertion when he led members of the association on a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the university, Sydney Enyinda in Port Harcourt,over the weekend
Wolugbum described the Vice Chancellor as an astute administrator whose ingenuity has propelled the university to greatness, while urging him not to relent in his quest to make the institution the best in the country.
The President of IDA said the visit to the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar was part of its routine visits to identify with members of the association occupying positions of trust as well as to spur them in providing better services to the society.
Responding, the Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof Blessing Didia expressed gratitude to Governor Nyesom Wike for providing the financial support that has assisted his administration to turn around the fortunes of the university.
According to the Vice Chancellor, the university has improved tremendously in areas of teaching,learning and infrastructural development following the magnanimity of the Governor through his various support to the institution.
Didia while thanking members of the association for the visit, urged them to build bridges across the state to ensure the success of Governor Wike in his second term.
