Crown FC’s Manager Promises Fantastic Season
																								
												
												
											The General Manager of
Crown FC, Mr Rollanson Odeh, has pledged that all hands will be on deck to ensure that the Ajilete Warriors had a fantastic season.
The Media Officer of the club, Olatunji Alabi, said yesterday in Lagos that the management gave the assurance to the club’s at a stakeholders and management meeting held in Ogbomosho.
He said that the Manager, Odeh restated that the Ajilete Warriors would have a fantastic season in the yet to start 2018/2019 Nigeria National League.
“In the meeting, a lot of sundry issues ranging from security, obligations of various stakeholders, sensitisation and orientation of the spectators.
“They discussed the need to eradicate unruly behaviours at match venues, selling out conscience of some homers to visiting teams for peanuts among others were discussed.
“I appreciate you all for the contributions. I promise you that we will look into the issues raised and proffer positive solutions that will make this season a memorable one for us.
“We have no excuse not to promote this season and I plead that we do the needful toward achieving this feat,” he said in a statement.
Alabi added that “Ogunwola Omotosho (Omo Tee), Chairman, Ogbomoso Zonal FA, appreciated the management for their progressive contributions to the club.
“He also pledged to work hand in hand than ever before to ensure the Soun Boys get promoted to the elite division.
“I want to stress that hawking on the match days should be done before the commencements of matches, at half times and after games and not when matches were ongoing.
“We also need to make match days more interesting with the introduction of Raffle Draw, artists , football jogglers,etc before ,during halftimes and after each game,” he said.
The Chairman of the Supporters Club, Alhaji Mufutau Kilani (Ahuja), said there  was the need to ensure smoking of weeds is totally prohibited around the match venue.
“He said that more corrected measures be put in place to protect match officials on match days to avoid any action that could affect the club and development of soccer, Kilani said.
Alabi said that Crown FC would travel to Ibadan to play Assurance FC at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, for the Oyo State Federation (AITEO) Cup on April 5, 2019 by 2 p.m.

Iwobi Optimistic On S’Eagles Qualification
Iwobi spoke to Tidesports source ahead of Nigeria’s crunch playoff semi-final against Gabon on Thursday, November 13, in Rabat, Morocco.
The 28-year-old was reacting to Nigeria’s shaky World Cup qualifying campaign that saw the Eagles finish second in Group C behind South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.
“We’ve managed to rescue ourselves from the dead,” Iwobi told Tidesports source.
We know we have the players and the abilities to compete against any other country in the world.”
The Fulham star pointed to Nigeria’s star power, highlighting African Footballer of the Year winners Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen as proof of the squad’s quality.
“We have last year’s African best player (Ademola Lookman), the year before that (Victor Osimhen),” he said.
“It’ll be a shame if we don’t make it, but we have a lot of confidence. We just have to prove it to ourselves.”
Nigeria’s path to the United States, Canada and Mexico has been turbulent, with two coaches departing during the early stages of qualifying before Éric Chelle steadied the ship to steer the Super Eagles into November’s CAF playoffs.
Four nations from the continent – Nigeria, Cameroon, DR Congo and Gabon – will vie for a solitary spot to compete in next March’s inter-confederation playoffs, with a view to joining the already nine qualified African nations at the Finals.
It would mark Iwobi’s second appearance at the World Cup Finals and the Super Eagles’ first since the 2018 edition of the competition.
Back then, Iwobi featured in all three games as Nigeria was knocked out in the group stage.
