Timaya Puts £100m Price Tag To Shave Beards
Dance hall singer, Timaya has put a big price tag of £100 million, at equivalent of N36 billion to shave his bears. The award winning Dance hall artiste stated this in an interview which was published on Saturday, March 23, 2019.
It would be recalled that some years before the interview, he had shaved his dreadlocks because he felt it was time.
Clearing off his beard will also require an inspiration and it could be money. Keeping it for this long has been deliberate, it is all part of re-inventing himself. He said “maybe £100 million would make the shave off my beard, other than that, I won’t shave it off until I feel like it’s time, I have been keeping the beard for about five years.
“When I cut the dread locks some years back, I felt it was necessary at the time, it represented where my mind was at that time, it’s also rather important to keep reinventing (yourself) to stay relevant.
He is glad about the reactions that it has relieved; it is a reward for his efforts in trying out new things, making his fans happy is part of the motivation behind his evolving personality encouraging in him a desire to learn about what is trending particularly in music.
“It has been amazing so far and I am very happy about the positive feedback I have been getting. Club ribs are my first project in five years. I’m happy about the reception and the progress so far. I have remained relevant in this industry for over a decade because it is important to keep re inventing oneself.
“I feel like an entertainer, your should never make your fans get bored with your music, your performance and so on your must always give them away to stay excited about your brand, your music performances, everything. Also music just like everything else, changes, I’m always listening to new sounds and learning about new shifts and wings to keep my music relevant.”
Meanwhile, the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa State has warned celebrities who live fake life in social media to stop deceiving themselves and the public. Timaya is obviously tired of seeing a lot of people living the fake lifestyle on social media hence the reason behind the message to them.
The Reggae dance hall singer shared his thought and messages via his instagram page on Friday, March 22, 2019. According to him, people should start working hard to earn a living and showless on social media.
He wrote: “ Yo listen, these people, the better you start working very hard and show less in instagrame the better for you, a lot of people showed off lies on instagrame and don’t work hard to back it up or to live that kind of life on instagram. I just look at plenty people and I’m talking about my life right and because I am balanced now.
“I didn’t need to show nothing then because I was working hard, and I still work hard, so you want to just come live on instagrame showed off things that are not yours or carry a girl’s bag that is not yours, you think that is life?, nobody cares, you get to just work hard because financial freedom is the key nonsense,” he stated.
