Group Decries Teenage Prostitution In Delta
A group, “Make Your Life Count Organization, MYLC, at the weekend condemned in strong terms child prostitution in Warri and other parts of Delta State.
Coordinator of the group, Cyril Olomuro spoke with newsmen at a seminar organized by his group in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.
He said there are lots of parents who lure their children into “child prostitution” and other forms of prostitution.
Olomuro described the ungodly act as a “shame, sad and a tragedy “
He lamented that parents, who are supposed to guide and keep their children on the right path, are now the ones luring them into the “wrongful act”.
“It is so terrible and it is my prayer and my hope that with such sermons, ladies will get to know who they are, confident of who they are and what they want to achieve and even when parents tell them to do what is wrong, they can stand and say mummy, daddy, No. This is what I want to be the situation.”
