Onnoghen’s Trial Has Tainted Nigeria’s Image -Clark
The leader of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief Edwin Clark, has described the moves to arraign the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, as a disgrace to the image of the country abroad.
Chief Clark made the declaration following the adjournment of the arraignment of the CJN by the CCT to January 22 to enable him appear in person.
He said the aim of the charge is to humiliate the CJN by making him to enter the dock before an inferior court.
“CCT is an inferior court; it is not in the list of courts in Nigeria. What do they want? They wanted him to be docked before the very people he swore in a few days ago.

“At the end of the day, they would say: ‘the case is adjourned, provide a surety to take you on bail or you go home on self-recognition.’ That is all what they wanted, to disgrace the man that he has gone to the dock, facing trial before people he should be working under him,” he said.
