Ondo FA Sets Up Electoral, Appeals Committees
The Ondo State Football Association has inaugurated a five-man Electoral Committee ahead of fresh elections into the board of the association, scheduled for February 5.
The state FA Chairman, Dele Ajayi said at the inauguration in Akure that the committee was set up in line with Article 30 of the association’s statutes which prescribes that the state executive committee shall draw up guidelines for fresh elections.
Ajayi, represented by his Vice Chairman, Henry Akingboju announced Mr Tolu Abisagbo as chairman of the committee, with Mrs Joke Orimaye as vice chairman.
Other members are: Mr Tope Ademujimi, Mr Gabriel Olakiigbe and Mr Babatunde John Akinbinu.
Also inaugurated was the Electoral Appeals Committee which had Mr Olusola Oke as chairman, while Babatunde Fagite and Tope Olokungboye are members.
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the electoral committee, Mr Tolu Abisagbo pledged that the committee would organise a free, fair and credible election into the association’s executive committee.
Abisagbon noted that it was an honour for members to have been selected to carry out such an important assignment.
