2019: Agbaje Promises Good Leadership In Lagos
The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State, Chief Jimi Agbaje has said he is prepared to give good leadership to Lagos State.
The Guber hopeful in an exclusive chat with our correspondent in Lagos said his intention to contest the Lagos State 2019 governorship election again on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was to offer leadership that Lagosian are clamouring for and not a stooge for god-fatherism as has been the practiced for over decades in the state.
“Our people are hungry for a political upheaval and for the privilege and honour to have a say in who govern them. They want to elect a leader they desire not because the, distributes gifts and privileges but because of a proven track record of performance in Managing People and resources.
“I live and work in Lagos so I understand most of the challenges and the strategies to address them,” Agbaje said.
According to him, “ Lagosians are now routing for a change in leadership and that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is poised to take back the State from over 20 years of darkness and mental slavery and provide quality leadership”.
He accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of operating what he called divide and rule system adding that, it is ridiculous for a sitting Vice President to become a vote buying agent under traders money disguise rather than facing the reality on ground, assuring Lagosian that PDP will take them to the promised land.
