Monarch Tasks Youth On Peace
Youths in Omuma Local Government Area have been urged to toe the line of peace, especially in this Christmas Season.
The Ochimba of Umuogba Clan, Eze Dr Silvanus A. Ogbueri, who said this during the inauguration of Umueze Youth Movement in his Palace, said that Omuma needed peace to attract development, stressing that without peace, the area cannot develop.
The traditional ruler stressed the need for the youths to always contact the Chiefs before embarking on any programme, adding that since they have only two years to stay in office, they must embark on programmes that have meaningful impact on the people.
According to him, his palace will work with both the local and state governments to promote peace and development in the clan and the entire Omuma Local Government Area.
Also speaking, the President of Omuma Youth Council, Mr Peduru I.K. Samuel urged the youth movement to work in concert with the chiefs and the entire community to ensure peace.
In his own remarks, the newly inaugurated president of Umueze Youth Movement, Mr Godspower Nwuju, said that the new executive will work with all stakeholders to promote peace in the area.
He also thanked Eze Ogbueri and the Chiefs for reposing their confidence in him, promising not to fail them.
