Mrs Wike Hosts Children, Tasks Them On Obedience
Wife of the Rivers State
Governor, Justice Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, on Boxing Day hosted hundreds of Rivers children to the 2018 Christmas Party.
The Party was attended by children from all classes of the society. The children who came from all local government areas of the state, played games and were treated to different foods and drinks by the wife of the Rivers State Governor.
Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike presented gifts to all the children that attended the party, while kids that won different games were given special gifts.
Also in attendance at the Christmas Children Party were; Deputy Governor Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Adama Iyaye-Laminkanra and women top government officials .
Addressing the children, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike urged the children to take their education seriously, so that they would be equipped for their future.
She called on them to emulate Jesus Christ in all their ways, so that they can live as responsible citizens.
She said: “I am sure you learnt about the birth of Jesus Christ yesterday during the Christmas Church Service.
“The significance of Christmas is that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God who died for our sins.
”Jesus Christ lived among men and gave up his life for the salvation of mankind.
“He did that so that we can be more like him and do his service. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ and to teach us to continue our work with God and do his will”.
The Wife of the Rivers State Governor added: “We have to live the life of Christ and in line with his examples. That means we should love everybody we meet. We should be considerate. We should be kind”.
She advised the children to be obedient to their parents as that was the best way for them to grow up as responsible citizens.
The children were thrilled by musicians, comedians and calisthenics displays.
A cross section of children thanked the wife of the Rivers State Governor for her kindness, saying that they enjoyed the party.
