National Network Newspaper Bids Farewell To Late Nwikinaka
As the remains of the late former General Manager of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to former Governor Peter Odili and two-time chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council, Pastor Augustine Nwikinaka embarked on his final journey to eternity, Saturday, in his home town, Kpean in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, the management and staff of National Network Group of Newspapers have commiserated with the entire Nwikinaka family, the NUJ, Rivers State Council and the Ogoni community on the demise of the late media icon.
In its parting words in honour of the departed colleague and sage, the National Network management said late Nwikinaka was a source of inspiration to the generation of young writers and will be remembered for his passion for the ink and pen fraternity.
And to the members of the NUJ, Rivers State Council, the National Network management said the best parting gift to immortalise the name of their fallen colleague and hero was to remain faithful to his journalistic ideals and to keep the flame of objective and unprejudiced news dissemination burning for the overall good of the society and to the glory of God, while praying for the peaceful repose of Pastor Nwikinaka’s soul.
