Group Moves To Celebrate Wike’s Achievements

The Conference of Community Development Committee leaders in Rivers State has announced plans to celebrate the numerous achievements of Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike in the state.
The plans were contained in a communiqué made available to newsmen at the end of its meeting in Port Harcourt.
According to the communiqué signed by the Coordinator United Community Development Committee (UCDC), Mr John Onwubualili, the programme which holds on the 12th of October 2018, is to showcase the level of transparency in the utilisation of public funds by the present administration in the state.
“The United Community Development Committee (UCDC) Rivers State wish to notify the general public that they have scrutinised the tremendous development record and administrative performance of His Excellency Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike in our various communities and Rivers State at large.
“The body therefore unanimously passed a resolution to celebrate these numerous achievements of our amiable Governor, Mr Projects”.
The organisation said that the event which was titled: “Celebration of Grassroot Governance of Chief (Barr.) E.N. Wike” will showcase to Nigerians in particular and the World generally, the transparency in the utilisation and appropriation of public fund by Governor Wike led Administration in the State.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, the Coordinator General of the organisation Mr John C. Onwubualili said that the committee was happy with the prevailing peace in the state as well as the level of infrastructural development adding that this has placed the state as a destination of choice by investors.

Technology Key to Nigeria’s Socio-Economic Development, Says Computer Scientist
Dr. Legborsi Emmanuel, former state Chairman of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), has emphasized that technology is the sure way for Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
He made this assertion while speaking with newsmen at the sideline of 118th inaugural lecture series of Rivers State University (RSU) held in port Harcourt, wednesday.
He stressed that the lecture, which focused on emerging technology and its impact on the socio-economic development of the country, aligns with the NCS’s economic focus.
He highlighted the importance of building an economy driven by technology, citing the success of the Rivers State Smart Economy policy as an example.
The computer scientist emphasized the need for innovation and doing things differently, asserting that “technology is the only way out” for Nigeria’s development. He praised the lecturer, Professor Mathias Daniel, for exploring the applications of technology in various sectors, including agriculture, industry, transport, and socio-economics.
Dr. Emmanuel underscores the critical role technology plays in driving socio-economic growth and development in Nigeria by leveraging technology, the country can unlock new opportunities and address pressing challenges.
