A’Ibom Community Wants Udom To Bridge Communication Gap
The Akwa Ibom Community in Abuja has called on the state Governor, Udom Emmanuel to bridge the communication gap between the state government and indigenes of the community outside the state.
The President of the community in Abuja, Mr. Tommy Etim, made this call, yesterday, in Abuja.
He explained that due to the communication gap between the government of the state and its citizens outside the state, people were being apprehensive of certain developments back home.

“We feel that messages to the governor through emissaries do not usually get to him; if it does, he would have acted because the governor has a listening ear.
“The people are very apprehensive because the misinformation on the social media; nobody wants to know the real thing; most times, what is reported about them on the social media is misleading.
“We feel there is a communication gap, but we also feel the governor can bridge the gap; this will enable us to feel our governor and our governor can feel us,’’ he said.
Etim lauded the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly, Mr. Onofiok Luke, for identifying with the people of the state in Abuja.
According to him, Luke believes in the voice of the people of the state; he identifies with them to register his goodwill and that of the state governor.
“Luke happened to be the first Speaker in the House of Assembly in Awka Ibom that has visited the Akwa Ibom community in Abuja.
“He also considered it very necessary to host his people, the meeting which was very successful with a large turnout of people from the state in Abuja.
