NIQS Wants Students To Embrace Quantity Surveying
The Chairman of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Rivers State chapter, Edighoman Isaac Ewa, has advised students to embrace Quantity Surveying as a profession.
The chairman gave this advice during a career talk organised by NIQS, Rivers State Chapter at the International Secondary School, Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Port Harcourt.
Ewa elaborated on the importance of career planning and how to manage career strategically, adding that it was necessary for students to discover and identity their values and talents in planning their careers.
He told the students that now was the best time to start thinking about their future and to pursue their dreams.
He also called on parents to encourage their children to become quantity surveyors as it will help guarantee a brighter future.
Earlier, the chairman gave the state Governor Chief Nyesom Wike, thump up for his hospitality, during the Annual General Meeting of the institute hosted by Rivers State.
Ewa further prayed that God may bless Wike with more grace to accomplish his vision for the people of Rivers State.
Also speaking, the deputy Senior Prefect of ISS, Miss Adiele Ebube, thanked the organisers for enlightening the students on the benefits of the profession.
She promised that the students will put to practise everything they have learnt and will embrace quantity surveying as a profession.
