Mgbuosimini Community President Harps On Peace
The President of
Mgbosimini Community Council (MCC), Hon. Johnson Chike, has vowed that he would take all necessary measures to restore peace in the community.
Chike, who made the vow after his swearing-in ceremony in Port Harcourt as the elected president of the council, stressed the need for peace and commended the natives for the confidence reposed in him.
He urged those who contested for various elective positions to put the election behind them and join hands with his administration to bring peace and rapid development to the area.
He said that his administration would work in concert with the people to move the community forward, describing his election as a call to service.
“I thank the chiefs, elders, youth and all the members of Mgbosimini community for the trust reposed in me and I assure you that you will not regret voting me as president”.
The Chairman of the Election Committee, Nyeche Ovunda, commended the people for the responsible way they conducted themselves during the election process, stressing that the emergence of the new executive committee was a victory not just for the leadership but for the entire Mgbosimini community.
Ovunda said the process was meticulous and transparent and urged all to support the new executive committee in the interest of peace and development of the area.
