Tide NUJ Condoles With Former Secretary Over Father’s Death

Journalists (NUJ) The Tide Chapel, Rivers State Council has condoled with Deputy Group News Editor and former secretary of the chapel, Mr Reward Akwu, over the death of his father, Eze Isaac Jacob Orlu Akwu which occurred on March 26, 2016.
In a statement signed by the Chapel Chairman, Mr Felix Okogbule and the secretary, Mr Amadi Akujobi, the union described the death of Pa Orlu Akwu as shocking, adding that Pa Akwu died at a time when his fatherly advice was most needed in the family.
The statement described late Pa Akwu as a celebrated educationist, who through his teaching profession had made positive impact and contributed immensely to development of the state and the country at large.
The union while commiserating with the Akwu Family said Pa Akwu lived a life worthy of commendations and urged his children to emulate the good virtues he bequeathed to them.
The union prayed the Almighty God to grant the Akwu Family the fortitude to bear the lost and grant Pa Akwu eternal rest in his bosom. The statement also urged members of the Chapel to attend the burial as scheduled.
