Cleric Tasks Men Of God On Diligence, Fearlessness
Ordained men of God
have been urged to be diligent and fearless in discharging their duties irrespective of whatever challenges confronting them.
The Presiding Bishop and General Overseer, Apostolic Christian Faith Mission Nigeria (ACFM), Rt Rev. Livinus Chioma (JP) gave the charge at the 46th Annual Convention of the church at the national headquarters of the church, Akwu/Obuor in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The General Overseer who anointed 45 members as elders, deacons/deaconesses and Evangelists stressed the need for them to be exemplary in their dealings and to also ensure that their children and wards refrained from bad companies.
“Your children must not be found amongst gamblers, money doublers, armed robbers, cultists, kidnappers and other anti-social elements in the society,” he said, noting that one can hide from the eyes of men but certainly not from God.
Commenting on the theme of this year’s convention, “say yes to peace,” the General Overseer urged all and sundry to be peaceful and to follow the way of the Almighty God, emphasizing that withut that no man shall see God.
He said that peace had become vital in modern society in view of the violent crisis occurring everywhere and called on Christians to be vanguards of peace.
Highlight of the event was an open ex-communication of one of the senior members of the church, Evangelist Sunday Alozie who was accused of involving in some anti-church activities.
The one-week convention also featured general fasting and prayers, deliverance service, Bible quiz and lectures amongst others.
