Information Chapel Hails Wike Over Ibemeru’s Appointment
The Ministry of Information and Communications chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Rivers State, has express appreciation to the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike for appointing one of the their own, Sir Samuel Ibemeru, as a Permanent Secretary.
In a release signed by the Chairman of the chapel, Mr Okechukwu Maru and the Secretary, Mrs. Ifeoma Ossai in Port Harcourt, the union said the appointment is a milestone as it is the first time in the history of Information Officers that one of them would be elevated describing it as a very welcome and promising gesture from the governor of the state.
The union said, by the elevated of Ibemeru, the contributions of the ministry of information and communications in the dissemination of information that brings the government closer to the people has been duly recognized and thanked the governor for remembering Information Chapel, promising that the chapel will always support and pray for the success of this administration.
It further thanked Governor Wike for having faith with the State Civil Service which is evidenced in the prompt payment of salaries, urging the governor to continue with his good works for Rivers people.
