Kelvin described Bishop Ebirien as “an administrator with an outstanding dedication to the promotion of religion, democratic and educational development, an astute defender of the rights of all West African origins.”
He said: “The decision to confer this honour is not just the celebration of the achievements of an outstanding performer but should be considered as a clarion call on the awardee not to relent on his effort towards redefining the standard of educational development in West Africa.”
