Auto Crash Claims Four In C’River
At least four persons
lost their lives while several others were injured when a trailer loaded with cement and a Volkswagen Gulf Car crashed into residential buildings at Orida community, about two kilometers from Ehom in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke who fortunately arrived the scene of the accident immediately directed relevant departments to transfer bodies of the victims to the general hospital morgue, and also ensure that the wounded were treated while contacts should be made to relatives of the victims.
According to eye witness accounts body parts of the golf car driver and passengers littered while the driver of the trailer and his conductor were said to be at large.
Governor Imoke has condoled the widow and other family whose husband died in the fatality and pledged government assistance to them.
