The Nasarawa
State Government says it has taken the necessary steps to provide basic infrastructure in areas affected by the 2012 flood disaster.
This is contained in a statement made available to journalists in Lafia by Dr Abdullahi Idris, the Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency.
According to the statement, the move is in furtherance of Gov Umaru Al-Makura’s resolve to improve the lives of the citizens.
It also said that the government would soon commence the construction of model primary schools, and primary health centres.
The statement said that the government would provide solar power electricity to boost the schools and primary health care centres in the affected areas, adding that the details of the projects would be made available by the agency.
It would be recalled that Tunga, Umaisha and some communities in Doma Local Government Area were ravished by the flood which resulted in loss of lives and property.
