Orleans, Intels’ Parent Group Plans Silver Jubilee
The Management of
Orleans Invest West Africa Limited parent firm of Intels Nigeria Limited is set to roll out the drums for the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the company at Onne Oil and Gas free zone on October 22nd.
In an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt, the company managing director Mr Simone Volpi said the company has tremendously contributed to the development of the nation’s oil and gas industry.
He said Nigeria is one of the leading nations for foreign investment and the company has partnered with government agencies, clients and host communities for the promotion of the oil and gas industry.
He said 42 nations presently operate of the Onne Oil and Gas free zone under the umbrella of Orlean Invest West Africa Limited.
The managing director said the company has expanded from a small facility under lease in Onne Port in 1988 to a very big dream to provide a one-stop-shop logistic support to the oil and gas industry in Nigeria today.
Mr Volpi added that through the efforts of the company the nation has huge serving in logistic which account for about 30% of the entire spend in oil production.
He said the company has achieved its dream owing particularly to the excellent support and co-operation enjoyed from various agencies of government, clients, host communities and their partners adding that through the joint efforts of the company, the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone was established, today being adjudged as the fastest growing and single largest free zone in the world primarily dedicated to the Oil and Gas industry.
He said there are still challenges and bridges to cross before the company but enjoined Nigerians and expatriates staff to celebrate with the company on its common achievements for 25 years now.
Also speaking, the company’s Deputy Managing Director, Alhaji Adamu Atiku said Nigeria’s journey and history as a nation has been a progressive one.
He stressed that the nation shall certainly get to the nation of Nigerians’ dream with the support of all Nigerians.
The occasion was witnessed by the company Director, Matteo Volpi, Managing Director Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone Hon. Victor Alabo, Onne Port Manager Alhaji Umar Munir, Shore Manager Exxonmobil Captain Victor Nduonofit and traditional Rulers from host communities.
The highlight of the event was march past and lighting of the company’s silver Jubilee flame at Onne.
