Missionary Schools Get ICT Centres In PH
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centres have been inaugurated in Stella Maris and Holy Rosary Colleges in a bid to link the schools to the internet.
The Catholic Bishop of Port Harcourt, Most Rev. Camillus Archibong Etukudoh, commissioned the two ICT centres recently during his Episcopal visit to the Catholic-owned schools in the state.
Etukudoh, noted that the ICT centres will aid the students to align with the current internet development.
Our reporter gathered that the ICT centres will enable the students to browse and learn about the use of computer.
The Principal of Holy Rosary College, Mrs. Veronica Efika, noted that the school will be counted among the known institutions in the country.
Efika, also called on public spirited individuals to help and provide some equipment that will bring development to the school.
In Stella Maris, the principal, Rev. Father Fabian Nweke, presented some of the schools proposals like the establishment of a star magazine to the visiting Bishop.
Nweke noted the school will continue to maintain its position among the comity of post–primary institutions, with high moral standard.
